Mayor Lydia Mihalik is a 2002 graduate of the University of Findlay and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
Mayor Mihalik has invested much time and effort into making Findlay a great place to live. During a recent city budget crunch, she constructed a volunteer city wide leaf pickup that saved the city money and ensured that the basic services for the residents of Findlay were not lost. On November 8, 2011 she was elected Findlay’s first female Mayor, gaining more than 73% of the votes. Mayor Mihalik took office on January 1, 2012.
Prior to being elected Mayor, she was the Grant Administrator for the Hancock Regional Planning Commission (HRPC), a position she held since 2004. She was responsible for generating more than $19 Million in grant revenue for local governments including, but not limited, to the City of Findlay and Hancock County.
Mayor Mihalik is not only a true community leader but also a loving wife and mother. She and her husband Drew have three children, Joseph, Elizabeth and Delaney.
