Our annual Mayors & Lawmakers Luncheon in Columbus provides an opportunity for mayors across the state to come to Columbus and meet with legislators during the active spring legislative session. This year’s event was held at the Athletic Club of Columbus, which provided a beautiful and Statehouse-adjacent setting for deepening the relationships that fuel statewide collaboration.

Prior to the luncheon, the mayors met privately with Lt. Governor Jon Husted and discussed a wide range of issues including workforce development, housing, immigration, and state and local economic development projects. During the luncheon, a panel of mayors shared why local innovation is fueled by Ohio’s constitutional home rule right, and urged lawmakers to consider a proposed bill, HB 304, that would create a State and Municipal Government Commission.
