January 11, 2022
Columbus, OH – Beavercreek Mayor Bob Stone has been elected to serve on the Ohio Mayors Alliance Board of Directors beginning this month. Stone is in his third term as Mayor of Beavercreek, Ohio, and has been a member of the Ohio Mayors Alliance since the organization was formed in 2016.
“I’ve appreciated the bipartisan advocacy efforts of the Ohio Mayors Alliance and I look forward to continuing this work on the Board of Directors,” said Mayor Bob Stone. “Cities and local communities are an important part of Ohio’s success, which is why our communities must continue to work together and build stronger partnerships with state and federal leaders.”
Mayor Stone replaces Don Patterson who is retiring after serving for 16 years as the Mayor of Kettering. He will join Akron Mayor Dan Horrigan, Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther, Findlay Mayor Christina Muryn, Lancaster Mayor David Scheffler, Parma Mayor Tim DeGeeter, and Youngstown Mayor Tito Brown on the Ohio Mayors Alliance Board of Directors.
The Ohio Mayors Alliance also released its 2021 Annual Report, which highlights the organization’s work during the past year. It also recognizes the outgoing mayors for their contributions to the organization and their communities. The Ohio Mayors Alliance policy priorities focused on three themes last year: Recovery, Resiliency, and Equity. To view the annual report, please visit: ohiomayorsalliance.org/about-us
“Five years ago the Ohio Mayors Alliance was formed to bring mayors together and strengthen our advocacy efforts. Much has happened in the last few years, but our commitment to advocating for our communities, building stronger partnerships with state and local officials, and demonstrating the importance of bipartisan leadership has never been stronger,” said the Ohio Mayors Alliance Board of Directors in the opening letter of the report.
