Meetings & Events

Our annual Mayors & Lawmakers Luncheon provides us the opportunity to connect with our legislative leaders and highlight the important role our cities play in Ohio’s economic success. While our mayors were at the Ohio Statehouse, we also convened several important discussions with Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, Ohio Senate President Matt Huffman, and met with other important state leaders.

During the luncheon, we heard from a variety of mayors from different parties and different communities from across the state. We also heard from one of our former mayors, Ohio Development Director Lydia Mihalik, who discussed the important work her agency is doing in communities across the state.

As we gathered, we emphasized our priorities of preserving local control, protecting the fiscal health of cities, and promoting the importance of bipartisanship.
