Meetings & Events

We welcomed the return of our Mayors and Lawmakers Luncheon in 2022 at the Statehouse Atrium. This annual event brings together our mayors with state representatives and senators from across the state to build relationships and discuss important issues, emphasizing that Ohio’s economic success depends on strong local, regional, and state cooperation.

During the luncheon, we also awarded our Commonsense Governing Award to those lawmakers that worked to support cities through the challenges of the pandemic and share a belief that Ohio is stronger when our state and local leaders work together. This year, the recipients were Senators Louis Blessing and Nickie Antonio and Representatives Gayle Manning and Paula Hicks-Hudson.
